Life is A Gift

Today
Before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.


Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.


Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.


Today
Before you complain about life - Think of someone who died too early on this earth.


Before you complain about your children - Think of someone who desires children but they're barren...


Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep - Think of the people who are living in the streets.


Before whining about the distance you drive - Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.


And when
you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

But
before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another - Remember that not one of us is without sin.


And
when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and think: you're alive and still around.

Grilled Chicken with Potatoes & Green Salad


Ini sebenarnya juadah makan tengah hari aku dan Dah pada Sabtu lepas. Kebetulan, malam sebelumnya, jiran sebelah hantar ayam golek. Disebabkan aku dan Dah kekenyangan, kitorang simpan untuk 'santapan' keesokan harinya.

Ayam dah ada, aku dan Dah pakat buat side menu sebab hari tu memang tak plan nak makan nasi. So, aku buat baked potato dan Dah pula buat green salad. Baked potato ni aku dapat resepinya dalam salah satu rancangan Jamie Oliver.

Bahan-bahan:

6-8 biji kentang (ikut citarasa)
1 labu bawang putih
Olive oil
Daun Rosemary
Parutan Kulit Lemon
Garam
Pepper

Mula-mula, potong kentang ikut style wedges atau tebal sikit daripada saiz fries yang 'shoestring' tuh. Rebus. Once dah empuk, panaskan lebih kurang 3 sudu besar minyak zaitun atas pan dan tumiskan 1 labu bawang putih (yang telah diasing dan 'dipenyekkan'. Masukkan kentang tadi dan biarkan dua tiga minit atas pan. Selepas tu, tuangkan kentang + bawang putih tadi ke dalam tray dan bakar di dalam oven pada suhu 200 - 220 darjah celcius hingga rangup.

Sementara tu, korang prepare lah garam rosemary untuk kita tabur atas kentang tadi. Masukkan parutan kulit sebiji lemon+daun rosemary (pisahkan dari tangkai)+garam ke dalam lesung. Garam tu pula agak-agaklah supaya dapat menyerap kelembapan kulit limau tadi. Tumbuk dan hancurkan guna lesung hingga tekstur jadi halus. Kalau buat lebih pun tak mengapa, boleh simpan dalam balang kedap udara janji jumlah garam yang korang masukkan mencukupi hingga campuran tadi kering. Taburkan garam rosemary ni dan pepper pada kentang sebelum dihidang :)

Dorayaki

Semalam aku dan Dah ke Carrefour Kepong. Saja jalan-jalan sambil beli barang rumah yang dah habis. Lepas shopping, aku ternampak satu stall jual 'dorayaki' dekat foodcourt. Rindunya nak makan dorayaki!!! Last time makan, aku beli dorayaki keluaran Bee's Bakery. Tak gebu sangat. Last week, jumpa gerai dorayaki kat pasar malam Paya Jaras, tapi disebabkan dorayaki tu dah divariasikan dengan pelbagai warna+perasa,...terus aku 'tersentak' tak jadi beli. Bayangkan ada dorayaki warna hijau pandan dan pink!! Tapi, Is, one of aku nyer students kata dorayaki pasar malam tu sedap....emmmm nantilah aku cuba.

So, berbalik kepada cerita aku di foodcourt tadi,...aku pun belilah dorayaki, letak krim coklat. Yummmyyyy!!!!! Tersengih-sengih aku makan dorayaki sampai habis. Oh jap, sempat snap gambar!!!
